Sarah Pelham

BHSc. (Physiotherapy)
PG Dip (Rehab)

Sarah started her Physiotherapy career at PhysioAction in 2008, before heading overseas and working in Australia and the UK. On returning to NZ in 2012 she had a brief stint back with Physio Action and has re-joined the team again recently. Sarah also wears the hat of PhysioAction’s Clinical Educator, ensuring our team members are well versed in the latest research, clinical techniques, and assessment processes.

Sarah completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Health Sciences as well as further training to become a Hand Therapist. She has a strong focus on manual therapy, exercise prescription and looks widely at the whole picture to also correct movement dysfunctions that may be asymptomatic, as this unlocks movement and performance potential and assists in injury prevention. Sarah believes that education and great communication is paramount as this allows you to understand what the recovery process looks like and requires, while equipping you with the tools for self-management to also assist in preventing injury recurrence.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys catching up with friends and family and also getting out there exploring the outdoors and new places and will give almost anything a go. Her top picks are trail running when she doesn’t get too lost and heading up the mountain snowboarding in winter.

“I had a Great experience with CAm. He had a vastly better understanding about myself as an athlete.”
